"The Ghost of Reality" contains two new compositions made by Al Margolis in 2007. In "Too Too", he employs buzzing drones and hat sounds like someone fidgeting a loose cable or a microphone, accompanied by whining tones to create a subtle atmosphere of uneasy sillyness. The second track, "Imp", finds Margolis toying around with his ARP 2600 synth, generating a seemingly random sequence of clicks, squeaks and filtered noise that eventually constitute a complex rhythmical texture.
